In a Returning.AI community, earning XP moves your members through a progression system called Levels and Tiers.

Levels are exactly as they sound! Members start at level 1, and for every bit of XP earned, your members go through straightforward, numbered stages that show their progress sequentially.
Tiers represent broader milestones and are typically grouped levels. To mark significant achievements, they can be given icons and names, such as “Bronze,” “Silver,” or “Gold.” For example, reaching Bronze at Level 10, Silver at Level 20, and Gold at Level 30.

Essentially, levels show steady progression, while tiers reward reaching key milestones.
Tiers are yet another way in which you could enforce your community’s branding. Choose icons and names for tiers that not only imply a progression system, but are also reflective of your community and its themes.

Now, more is needed to allow members to earn these tiers; we want to display them visually to encourage friendly competition among your community members.

We recommend publicly displaying member accomplishments in chatrooms to boost engagement and motivation. When members see their achievements recognized, it encourages them to stay active and strive for higher levels or tiers. Public recognition also fosters friendly competition, as users try to outdo each other, increasing community interaction.

This visibility promotes a more vibrant and engaged community where members feel valued and rewarded, directly supporting growth and retention.
