Custom order statuses in Order History

Order History lets admins create and manage custom statuses inline, with drag-to-reorder, colour coding, and automatic reassignment when a status is deleted.

01 ·Manage custom order statuses inside Order History

The status column in Order History is now a live control. Clicking a status opens a dropdown scoped to that category; picking one closes it and updates the order on the spot. A Manage Statuses button opens a popup where admins configure the full status library.

Three fixed categories cover every order: Incomplete, In Progress, and Complete. Each has one default status named after it. Admins can rename any default, change its colour, add custom statuses inside a category, and reorder them by drag within that category, though not across categories. Any status can be set as the category default, and the drag grip disables when only one status remains in a category. Deleting a status that has live orders attached automatically reassigns those orders to the category default.

Why it matters

An order queue built on a team's own vocabulary does not need interpreting. A label like "Awaiting Courier" or "Pending Review" tells an agent exactly where an order stands, where a generic system label makes them look it up.
